marty 9998 0
Had a good afternoon today on spring drillings ended up with 62 tried my new home made lofting kit out worked a treat shod of made some years ago I think they helped a lot just had to change to a 20g using 25gram 6 high pheasant and 23g three crowns shoot some good birds well out. I have been making a lot of my own decoying gear for the last 10 years or so as the price of a lot of what you by is so over priced and made from cheep crap materials that's not built to last I have saved 100s of pounds over the years. I will upload photos A.S.A.P here is what I have made. Pigeon magnets Flapping pigeons to fit on magnet something like hyper flap [ I PREFER DEAD BIRDS ] 12 volt 500 rpm flappers for dead birds remote controlled. [ WILL RUN OR ABOUT 6 HOURS ON A 1.2 AMP HOUR BATTERY ABOUT 4 INCH X 2 INCH ] adjustable cradles for dead birds so you can set them out in any position you like adjustable legged shooting seat that spins round with removable back rest and rifle rest doubles from pigeons and rabbit shooting with rifle Gun rest for in the hide. Skinning knife. Lofting kit [ IF YOU GOT TREES WHERE YOUR SET UP THEY WORK WELL ] I have just updated my post with photos of my decoying gear i have made https://plus.google.com/photos/111066435294666597654/albums/5867966822369913185 Edited April 18, 2013 by marty 9998 Quote Link to post
Denny essex 15
Always satisfying when you make your own kit on the cheap and it works BTW the birds wings in the you tube vid are they broken at the wing joint and not the body ? Quote Link to post
marty 9998 0
That pigeon was a bit shoot up was just using it to get the size right when building flapper arms wings need braking close to the body as possible Edited April 12, 2013 by marty 9998 Quote Link to post
