A Couple Of Bunnies With The Hw100Kt

Recommended Posts

Been out today on a local place for a hour or so and got a couple of cracking rabbits with the Hw100KT .177
This rifle has been impressing me since I bought it but now I am really liking the way it works with me,
I know I have said it before but this is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned.
These 2 rabbits were paced out from where I shot them and they were at 39 yards and 43 yards
I got a couple of jackdaws as well but did not carry them back to the motor to photograph.

Thanks Steve

Mark LOL...I never wanted to get big headed but yes you are right, these rifles are something else !

You point them and where the + is on the target is where it hits.

I love it,

You know another thing that gets me is because it sounds so quiet and underpowered you think ( hmmm that will be no good )

Then you shoot it at quarry and see the results ! Then realise how wrong you can be.

I am busy compiling a photo clip showing my Rabbit and Black Pudding Recipe all meat ingredients are a result of this amazing rifle.

Coming from rimfire to air by choice is one thing but for the b@stard gun to be better than me thats another thing !...LOL

I shoot great with this and to be honest a more pleasurable shoot than the CZ that I am used to.

I know I am new to air power after many years of rimfire but how wrong have I been to eliminate air power due to my own ignorance.

Just shows you are never too old to learn. :icon_redface:

Thanks Steve

well shot Steve!!

The added bits make all the difference sometimes!

Darryl

Cheers Darryl.

The Cylinder is spot on as far as shot count and holding its pressure.

To be honest you sometimes forget that they are air powered because the cylinder lasts that long you do not have to worry about filling all the time.

Mine is so well balanced now with that cylinder it is more of an extension of my arm as opposed to a rifle. ( If you know what I mean )

All the best mate

Stick with the pellet choice Steve AA Diablo Field are superb with this rifle.

One thing that did shock me about any pellets (all makes) you use is that you quite often have to "fine tune" your zero when you run out and open a new tin  , i kid you not lads check the zero on a newly opened tin and re-zero.

I will do mark.

I done lots of research on pellets prior to buying this gun and yes they do come highly rated.

I had lots of samples given to me from a dealer , some were heavier grains but I find these fly nice and straight and do the job perfect.

I really cannot find much difference between the 4.52 and 4.51 in this pellet. For some unknown reason I have went down the 4.52 route.

I have been buying these pellets in quite big amounts as now I am relaxed with them and the gun all I need to do is stick the cross on the target and pull the trigger.

I am like a big kid again and love it.

Simply brilliant, looks like you will treasure that rifle for years to come!

Phil

Thanks Phil.

I am honestly amazed by it still. ( I keep looking at it and think, your like a hiss fart in a crowded shop , your pleased you got it out ! Silent but deadly ) and very impressed with the results. :D

Just got off the phone from a friend wanting to shoot a place we attend and he had the audacity to mention fetching his rimmy..... :nono:

Well after my face stopped screwing up as if I had licked p1ss off a thistle, I explained that we will be doing it with the HW100 ( yes he has the lip on )

But in all fairness the place justifies shots on average of 40 yards or closer so the HW will be more than suitable for the job "and a cheaper option to use"

I am not doing the anti rimfire script but I would also like him to see how effective air rifles can be in the correct situation and used to their best ability.

Thanks Steve
