My last lurcher a whip grey came I'm at bang on 12 months and most my mates I've spoke to there lurchers have come In around the 12 month mark. girl hunter 4 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Share Posted April 11, 2013 Some dogs just mature slower than others, smaller breeds tend to come to maturity earlier, I had a saluki/collie/grey that didn't come into season till 14 months old, and most of my saluki girls were at least 12 months. shaunpowell 130 Posted April 12, 2013 Report Share Posted April 12, 2013 a friend of mine has a collie whippet grey,,and she never did come in season the bitch was about 6 years old when he decided he wanted a pup out of her so took the bitch up the vets and they said is she a working dog he says yes she said dont work her for 12months so he never and on the 12month she come in. had a couple of cracking pups, wouldnt worry pal shaun Quote Link to post
