eat4peace 21
Good read mate. Where I am, I always hit them hard in the last few days of the season, so to stop them ruining my spring/summer rabbit shooting by flapping off and scaring away all the bunnies! None of the meat goes to waste though Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Yer, it's a new type of quarry for me, learning their habits etc etc, I'm slowly learning, hopefully get another tomorrow after my early shift at work Quote Link to post

Believe me mate, the hours I have say waiting for pigeons to land without nothing, I guess it needs to pay back something! Still can't get a handle on the bloody pigeons round my way Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Well go to where the little grey swines are roosting then. Wait there, I get most of my pigeons roost shooting! Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Problem is they seem to move all the time! I go to one place and then their not there then another and their back to the other place again Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Now they will be nesting, so they should be returning to the same spot for resting, screwing and raising! Keep as still as possible and wait, I know it is boring but it does work! Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
That's probably half my problem I keep figeting hahaha Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
If you hold off for a while (I know they are a pest over your side - be nice if they remained a pest and provided a regular harvest!) they will rear a nice brood of next years sport for you! I don't shoot anything other than rats at this time of year. Let everything rear the first brood, ensures a plentiful supply. Quote Link to post
