Matt 160
I've never been what you could consider 'modern man'. In fact, I rarely even stretch to sandwich making. For the seventeen years of my marriage, Mrs Rat has done the cooking in our household, and I've cleared up the mess (which resembles an inner city after a riot) afterwards. Anyway, the penury that we've suffered in the last year or so has meant that I've had to forego my beloved Indian Takeaways, and I've been learning how to cook curries for myself that resemble something akin to the 'real deal' from the takeaway rather than a spicy ultra hot mishmash of whatever I happened to have to hand at the time. To add some authenticity to these new creations, I started cooking my own Popadoms and then moved on to making Chapatis I found the Chapattis so easy to make that I've just ventured into bread making. Now, when I say breadmaking, I actually mean bread from scratch; not cheating using a machine. So here's the question; what do you cook for yourself, and what would you consider to be your 'signature dish'?

lapin2008 1,587
I do loads of cooking myself and probably about 60% of what we eat. One of my favorite dishes is anything yorkshire pudding related so toad in the hole is a fairly regular occurrence Other then that tend do loads of stew type things that can be cooked in bulk, broken down into meal size portions and frozen.
Paid 935
I've always been into cooking, had to be as the wife's cooking used to be proper pants, but too her credit, it has improved over the years. My signature dish is my rabbit leg tajine Only just started getting into baking though, as one of my boys is very into it, and our signature bake is our chocolate cookies with butter icing.
