Springer Groups At 50 Yards

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys

In the next few days (when the wind dies down/or if i can get into my indoor range), i intend on doing some more longe range practice with my TX200hc out to 50yards. As i have sold my pcp, i am really keen on improving my skills with my springers.

As soon as this is done, i will post the results on this thread. Any of you guys want to share some of your results out to 50 yards? (Springers only for this one)

I know there is a lot of good shots using this forum (Pianoman,Zini etc....) So how about we we post them on this thread. Does'nt matter what calibre, indoor or outdoor, smk or Whiscombe just as long as its a springer or gas ram.

All the best

When VHTV release the VHTV Spectre review you will see a 55 yard 5 shot group that is pretty handy being shot. We also pick up a new tuned SFS springer at the weekend that my Laura bought for me that we will be reviewing so ill try some groups with that too.

Si.

Had a go tonight at 35 yards, big eye opener. Weather was calm so all should have been plane sailing but groups started out going everywhere.

After 40 odd shots things started to tighten up. My best was a 5 shout group around the the size of a 10 pence piece, but I have done better before with this rifle. May have been an off day, I don't know. I found I would get 3 out of five on top of each other and I would be thinking I was on for a great group, then the next two would be either low, high or to the right.

Gives me a new appreciation for you guys who post on here getting pellet on pellet at these sort of ranges. Have to love the trials and tribulations of shooting a springer!

I'll get my slr charged at the weekend and put some photos up for you guys to ridicule!! Lol

All the best.

My hw77k is also a .22 never took much fancy to the 177 if you've got to much power or to close they DO go strait through with out killing which is a bummer cos some times you think you are missing but .22 is better for fur which I shoot at up to 50 and some times a little further depending on wind but like I said zero my scope in to 40 yrds and iam happy atb mark
