PUG 3
Upon recommendations I'm thinking about getting a Air Arms S410 .177 Carbine Air Rifle soon, but what scope would people suggest I should team up with it? I intend to target Woodpigeons and Crows. Quote Link to post

AirgunGuy 362
Hawke Sport HD IR 4-12x50 AO...excellent for the dosh and more than adequate for an air rifle. You should get 1 for around £ new. Had a look through a Hawke Panorama today and while it was an excellent scope, i felt the reticule was too small...for my eyes anyway. I know a few boys like this scope 1 Quote Link to post
Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
i just shot a crow using a mildot hawke sport hd 3-9x40 in failing light conditions on 7x zoom. the reticle is a bit thicker than that of the hawke panorama but stilll very useable. if you want cheap and decent quality the sport hd range is very good value. if you can stretch to a hawke panorama though i would if i was you. good luck with your choice, SKoT 2 Quote Link to post
Cliff Ray 185
I have a few scopes, but both the air rifle and the 10/22 have Bushnell 4-12 x 42 and they work perfectly. Quote Link to post

I have a Hawke Nite Eye (not digi) on the AA S410 and the ret is thicker again...pretty much the same scope as the Sport HD but with thicker ret and IR on the top of the scope rather than the side. I find them very easy to use and much quicker for targeting Just to add...the indoor range i go to is quite dark when looking down range so the thicker ret made a big difference Edited April 11, 2013 by AirgunGuy Quote Link to post

I intend to target Woodpigeons and Crows. Personally I find the Hawke Sport HD reticle a little too thick, the same for the varmint range. I do love the reticle in the Panorama and also the small thin ½ mildot reticle in the AirMax. The lenses are all pretty good for budget scopes but it’s all down to personal choice though. With regard to a suitable scope for your AA410, make sure you can achieve the correct eye relief; I put a varmint on mine but it’s not quite right and I am going to try swapping scopes around off my other rifles when I get chance. BenjaminCadd 109
Have a look at the Airmax range priced in-between the HD and Panorama. Quote Link to post
woodcote1 88
Another vote for the HD. Compliments the rifle nicely. Quote Link to post
Miikee-L 72
Cant complain with my Hawke Sport HD Scope mate! Quote Link to post
-Lupo- 4
I use a Hawke Nite Eye 6-24x50 SF IR Digital. Perfect scope for nearly everything. In cloudy weather with no good loght you'll have an excellent image with this scope. I mounted it on my HW97KT. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I like the Hawkes I prefer the Nite Eye non digital as the NS50 works better with these! I have HD Sports on my break barrels and they are good too! Quote Link to post
