blackgreyhound 206
lamping-lad.when picking a pup i generally would watch them for a hour or two .looking for the longest in the body the shortest in the leg.if it was a ist x cgxg or gsdxg i would look for the one that had the most greyhoundy look about it .some pups tend to hit the eye so to speak .some litters are so uniform its diffecult to pick one out.colour tends to influence me especially a nice dark brindle.at the end of the day it is usaully just the luck of the draw .i personally think lurcher to lurcher are more diffecult to pick out due to the variance of the genes Quote Link to post

Carraghs Gem 1,675
Strong healthy vaccinated pup with good feet from a healthy well reared litter, out of well tested working parents Quote Link to post
Neoleaver 55
Not too hyper or too mardy, just a bright confident looking pup, should be curious and trying to sus you out! Feet not turned out at the back or turned in at the front, wormed, jabbed, not covered in fleas. Trust your gut, your pup'll let you know which one he is. Quote Link to post
fitchet 788
It depends what you want out of them. I like the strongest and most independent pup myself ... Quote Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
Bold and confident - sparkly eyes and a good coat...good conformation and feet...fat and well nourished...you pays yer money...and the rest???? Quote Link to post
low plains drifter 10,299
Never overlook the smallest pup in a litter, sometimes they are perfectly formed just small, there was 2 runts in a litter I bred, they were medium sized and both had undershot jaws Quote Link to post
girl hunter 4
Depends what I want the dog for, but a switched on, confident, healthy puppy with the makings of the right build is a good place to start, dogs that flee into a corner, are unresponsive, weak looking or just don't appeal to me are the ones I would avoid Quote Link to post
