Taz-n-Lily 62
That could be fleas from your description. If it was my dog I'd be going to the vets for a proper diagnosis. 1 Quote Link to post

PhilProp 51
Ivomec is probably the best ive found and it will kill all worms amd parasites too. 1 Quote Link to post
Paid 935
Advocate is pretty good, and will cover most of the other suggestions of what could be the problem to, as kills a broad range of parasites and is a spot on treatment, like front line. 1 Quote Link to post
girl hunter 4
Get it checked to confirm mange not allergy or something that has gotten onto his legs, then if it is mange, buy some lime and sulphur dip, you have to put some in a bath and wash the dog in it, then leave it to dry. It is the most foul smelling substance on the planet, it stinks like rotten eggs but it worked really well and really quickly for me when I aquired a puppy that turned out to have sarcoptic mange. By the time it showed she had spread it to 8 dogs, this stuff cleared it up in two weeks Quote Link to post
girl hunter 4
Ivermectin can be dangerous to some breeds of dog, so research it carefully. If your dogs are xs of any hypersensitive breed avoid ivermectin and go for a topical treatment, assuming it does turn out to be mange. 1 Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
If you are not sure exactly what the dog is suffering from, don't rely on answers on the internet from people who haven't even seen a photo of the dog. A correct diagnosis can only be made by someone who examines the dog in the flesh. And yes, sulphur dips are very useful. As is sulphur ointment/creme. Pity that Nu Stock isn't easily available in this country: brilliant stuff, even though it does smell a bit As has already been said, Ivermectin can be dangerous to some dogs with Collie in their breeding. If in doubt, see a vet first! 2 Quote Link to post
