if you have loads , like couple hundred lb's, we find the best long term store a ICB tank, cut the top off approx. 10" down ,turn the top over , it can be used as a funnel too. throw all the feeder surplus in, pop the top back on , over lapping the original tank.. fit the lid & you can move it anywhere, stays dry & easy to get out what quantity you like.

Looking for ideas what could be used to store sacks of feed & left on site. Been looking at horse feed bins but they are quite expensive, thanks

Old garden sheds....

an old plastic heating oil tank. We cut the top off and made a wooden lid, holds about 2 ton loose wheat.

Downside is that it took lots of scrubbing with detergents etc to remove the oil residue and even when we thought it was done on a warm day it smelt of oil again. Took about three goes before it was odour free, using warm water may speed up the process, we just used cold water, a strong degreaser/detergent and yard brushes.

In the lockup we use 200lt plastic drums with sealable lids. Also have a large ton bag sized metal container for mixing hand feed mixes up. Never had trouble with rats chewing feed drums in the lockup, possibly because they are sealed well?

Wheely bins sound a bloody good idea!
