I can't hear myself think here for the number of people that are banging on about that old fraudster knackering the mining industry As I said earlier, whatever you thought of her, she was a mother and grandmother. Do you ever sit and think about what her grandchildren may think of hunting people reading some of the spiteful shite on here? This is one of the subjects where some of the noisiest people probably weren't even born when she was sorting out the fooking mess that Wilson and Callahgan had left from the seventies. It's also one of those subjects which brings out the worst in some people; I know of at least one longstanding member of THL who has left because of the comments and general lack of respect seen on this subject this week. A decision that I understand and sympathise with. If you've can't keep your venom and spite to yourself, then say nothing. Your never know they just might find your comments hurtfull. Oh and just one other point old harold fought tooth and nail to open a car plant in his constuancy. What I'm saying is that criticism can and should be tempered with just a hint of respect for someone that has just died and has not even been buried (or cremated in this case) yet. I didn't agree with everything she did, but I still admired her for standing up for what she believed in. It's easy to blame her for everything that went wrong, but the problems started long before she won a LANDSLIDE victory. There are lots of left wing politicians that I don't like, and that I think have done irreparable damage to our nation. I would still try and show a little respect when they die even if I hated them. As I said earlier, just imagine her grandchildren reading this. What do you think they will think of hunting folk? Humane? Intelligent? Respectful? I've got no problem with people not liking her, or thinking that she is somehow responsible for all the woes inflicted on Scotland and the North of England. As Malt says, someone as controversial as her was bound to create some discussion when she went, but it is possible to do so without being so cretinously disrespectful to someone who's hardly even cold yet. What else would a stranger think if this was the first thread they read on this forum? That we're all tolerant, compassionate, humane people? I doubt it.
