gurtwurz 792
Someone on here wil be along to give you an idea if its value mate. And when they do, please give me first dibs on it. I love these old legends, and I've always wanted one. Alternately, sell it me as is and I'll replace the seals myself (obviously when I say myself,i shall be running up to fatpants's man cave to annoy the shite out of him lol) 2 Quote Link to post
ArkyElijah 0
Ok ... But how do I tell if its a mk1 for sure? Can I post pics on here? The gun was given to my son by a friend of mine who is an antique collector a few years ago but he wants to sell it to pay toward an intensive driving course ! It's got hell of a kick to it Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Dunno how to tell what mk it is, hopefully andyfr1968 or pianoman may know some more about it mate. My local rfd had one in for £150 but the bar steward decided to keep it for himself... Quote Link to post
ArkyElijah 0
Well I suppose you can't blame him ... I feel like its worth keeping especially the more I research it lol but the boy says 'what do I want more a nice rifle and no driving or ..... ' he's 17 so obviously the idea of driving wins ! gurtwurz 792
You have pm mate Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
God, that's a long time ago!! From memory I think the only real difference was the stock. The Mk1 had a plain stock with a fairly undefined cheek piece while the later ones were more defined and had a checkered pistol grip. I had a 124 when I was in my teens and it was a lovely rifle to shoot. Handled better than HWs of the day, IMO. Quote Link to post
ArkyElijah 0
Hark at my lad straight in there reading my messages saying he's 90% sure it's a mk1 and how much ... Don't know if he did pm you or not but by reading andys post it's a mk2 as it has checkered pistol grip and defined cheek piece ! Just so your clear on that gurt ! Quote Link to post
