charlie caller 3,654
I had a berreta 302 for 20 odd years and couldnt hit anything with it either. Then i bought a shim that altered the comb height and that made it much better. Sounds to me like you have the same problem shooting over the top maybe the same thing could work for you, worth a try.Which is exactly what I was saying from the start. Quote Link to post

GEOFF.223 83
took my girlfriend shooting one day she's left handed right eye dominant and she can't close one eye at a time without crunching her face up so i had to give her my safety glasses with a bit of cardboard stuck over right lens worked a charm. it took about 30+mins to figure out she was left handed ¡¡¡¡¡ Quote Link to post
Nik_B 3,790
Unless you are shooting gun up (not likely in the field) it's probably your mount and that will take years of practice.Probably doesn't help you started out with rifles as the technique is way different and many clay shooters will say that it's counter productive. Firstly you need to practice your mount over and over again...I'd do it in the mirror first so after you mount can then look back down the rib and see if you are pointing in the right place...then go on to practice mounting at any straight line fir example where the ceiling joins the wall...you can practice moving the barrel then fluidly mounting and swinging through and pulling the trigger. It's basically muscle memory. lots and lots of practice...you wont get their over night and if you shoot a shotgun like a rifle you will always struggle. Quote Link to post
