The poll tax was fair in my opinion (here we go) because the old rating system was totally unfair. Why should a family of four adults pay the same for the services that they use far more than me as I do for just me and Mrs Rat?

 

It was the unions that tore the country apart. I read today of one father and son who haven't spoken since the strike in '84. Sad. She called Scargills bluff and won. He could have ended the (illegal) strike any time he liked, but didn't want to back down and loose face with his Soviet paymasters.

 

I hope you strikers that got £1 per day and then redundancy remember that Scargill has a Knightsbridge flat costing £34k p/a for life. For what? Betrayal and treason.

what i find unbelievable is if its true everything you and others say about saint maggie. then why did the majority of people of this nation hate her?why if all she did was so f***ing outstanding and beneficial did her own party stab the cow in the back.

tbh i dont believe all this bullshit from fol who say she was great. i can see/hear the poverty and the misery with the tories current cuts.well if maggie was able and in charge there would be a civil war in this country.

Not very long ago Scargill was campaigning to get the two blokes who MURDERED an innocent man by throwing a concrete block onto his car from a bridge pardoned and released.

 

The man was a fan of Stalin, and was funded and instructed by Moscow.

 

He went against not just Mrs T, but the whole country and tried to hold us all to ransom.

 

He lost.

 

I can't see many people being as interested when that scumbag finally departs this earth.

 

Mrs T never lost an election; she was stabbed in the back by her own party, especially the likes of Heseltine, who hated the fact that she stood up for what she believed in and wouldn't back down, ever.

 

We will never see the like again, which is why this country will eventually sink into the abyss.

The majority (as you put it) hate her because at the time they were onto a good thing and that good thing was taken away from them.They were being spoilt, and as all spoilt children are when you take away the things they want they throw a tantram.

 

 

They realised that even though they thought the country owed them a living the truth was it didn't, and they was going to have to get other jobs with a normal size pay packet like the rest of the workers in the country.

 

As for your poverty comment, you do realise there is no such thing as poverty in this country don't you.
