Sjt657 191
I have a hw100 that's great good accurate budget ish gun but I would love a daystate hw is really good but can't compare as never had a daystate . Quote Link to post
tinson1 16
Never shot a day state, shot my mates hw100 and loved it, but still unsure which one 2 buy, Quote Link to post
wedge2409 98
They are both top pcp's,and will out shoot the shooter every day of the week.Daystate i would go for one of the electronic's,airwolf,mk4 is, panther.the trigger/cocking action is unbelievable. But you will be paying twice as much for the daystate than the hw100.Best of going to your local RFD /Gun club and see if you can try both and see which feels right for you.Good look mate..Ste 1 Quote Link to post
tinson1 16
So is the hw100 better value for money? Quote Link to post
Sjt657 191
Yes it's very good value for money can't go wrong but if you have the cash for a daystate .... Quote Link to post
Thesharpeend 85
Daystate huntsman classic 177 that would be my choice Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
The only thing stopping me from selling my HW100 and buying the Airwolf is, there's no difference in accuracy enough to make me pay the extra money for the Daystate, the shot count is better than the HW100, and if I hit all that I shoot with the HW100, then I still cant carry that shot count in rabbits Quote Link to post
EVO HUNTSMAN 13
i own a huntsman classic in .22 pure quality and the aftersales is second to none,,both are very accurate rifles but the daystate huntsman is lighter and personal opinion is its the better rifle to carry round all day hunting good luck with your choice Quote Link to post
Bossmugler 14
Daystate, nearly twice the price, but not twice the gun. HW100 all the way for me. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Simple solution buy both! Alternative solution, look for a nice Mark 3! These can be had from around the £450 mark secondhand if you look hard enough, they are also superb guns, weird trigger though, like using a mouse! Quote Link to post
tinson1 16
Ye thats whatt i wanted, twice the price but not twice the gun! I heard that daystate loose a lot of money when brought brand new so i could get a good second hand 1 for the price i cud get the same condition hw100 secondhand? i wish i could buy both! If i could i would Quote Link to post

hunter100t 56
If you want what you pay for, Get the hw 100. Had mine almost six years now without a single hickup, still using one of the supplied mags, the other has never been used. you wont get that kind of endurance with a daystate, their mags have a limited life that seems to change from owner to owner and at 40 odd squid a pop, it soon racks up ! A friend of mine had the airwolf in both 12 fpe and fac, the fac popped its breech seal on its very first shot, went back to be fixed, 3 weeks later it came back under powerd and popped the breech again after 60 or 70 shots ! The 12 fpe version was way under powered only giving 9.8 fpe on its max setting. He got his money back on one and traded the other with cash back for a hw100 s and never looked back, bad experiance ? maybe, but both rifles going back and forth in the first 6 weeks of owning them was too much for him. 2 years later and no issues, he is very happy. I am not a hater of daystate, I have one my self in fac, few probs at first but i sorted it out and touch wood, it stays that way. Delicate rifles is my opinion, The hw ? A bloody supergun by comparison. You dont see many daystates in the ft/hft world, but you do see alot of hw,s . Sod it buy an airarms or bsa lol. atb phil 1 Quote Link to post
