Bad News.

Recommended Posts

I lost my permission this morning..... Met up with farmer to advise i was on the land only to be told that i was not welcome anymore.. Someone has been lamping on the land (Not Me) and he thinks its me,Tried to convince him that it was not me but no chance. Now i have lost a brill shoot because some scrote has decided to just walk on & shoot.

Proper hurt me this has.. I nearly lobbed by gun up the road..

Keep your eye on youtube and other forums for lads in Nottingham posting about their fantastic nights out lamping...... Sorry to hear that Barnze, I don't know about you, but in the past I had a system of texting the landowner the times I'd be wandering. Helped me out a lot when a horse slipped a foal due to a helicopter flying low, her first thought was I was to blame... Not a fail safe solution, but I feel it would certainly be a step in the right direction to prevent this occurring again to you. Good luck fella.

catch them at it, then you can prove that it's not you and do the landowner a favour at the same time. Might take a few lonely nights on watch but at least that way you can build up trust with the land owner and get your shoot back. You don't have to confront them just get some evidence, photo's or video on your phone or such like and Bobs your uncle your out shooting again!!

That's what i'd do but then when someone pisses me off i'm like a dog with a bone and if I've been put out you can bet your house i'm going to make sure their put out :/

Barnze I really feel for you, that's the news no airgunner that hunts wants to hear! Others have offered good advice, the only thing I can suggest is you go back to him in a few weeks and try to talk about it when he has calmed down a bit, take a bottle of the good stuff for him.

You never know he might realise it was an error to get rid of you so quick.

All the best mate and I hope this gets sorted soon!

be careful as i know someone had the same problem as you and he went back to see farmer a couple of times a few weeks after and farmer told him not to pester him anymore ..

I will give it a few weeks then nip and grovel.. Hope he gets to the truth.

thats bad news mate ,but nows the time of year to knock on doors just as the young rabbits are showing and all the farmers have hundreds

Will be knocking but will have to travel for it. Done all the local farms etc. Dropped in the same boat as everyone else here in Notts..

Yesterday saw me knock on the doors of 14 farms up on the Notts/Leics border..Not a one to be had.

I reckon i gotta look a few hours drive away to get another chance of a shoot. To tell the truth i am just about resigned to back yard plinking..

Such is life.
