I thought I'd join the forum as I had been suggested to by a good fella I got talking to at the Edible Garden show a few weeks back. (I apologise if your on here, I've forgotten your name!) Dad used to shoot when I was a kid and I enjoyed going with him and learning about how to process food, older now (26) and will be moving back out to a rural area soon, picked myself up a cheap starter air rifle (SMK 19 hunter) and looking forward to being able to take my old man out once I've practiced enough to be very confident of my abilities. Hoping to join the Parkstone Gun club as well (Closest to my area now) once I have finished off my degree in a few weeks. In the meantime I figured I should make some friends and start learning as much as I can. I'm actually a big fan of sling shot hunting, the air rifles pretty new to me but my sling is always close to hand! (You'll get a surprise going through one of my handbags!) I still pine for my childhood dog, a lurcher collie cross, that dad would take us out with (Pre ban, only a few bunnies =) .. I am determined that within three years I will be in a financially strong enough position to have enough room/time to have a pooch again and I think I'd go back to a working dog breed. Cheers Dymented I was under the impression that all hunting with dogs was banned, glad to hear if I do get me dog I can at least re-live part of my childhood! Will make dad really happy to take him out again too since he can't get about so much now. Won't be for awhile yet though!
