Guest Ditch_Shitter
Just bought it! Cheers for the heads up, lads! Cochy'; Thirty five quid, delivered! Foolscap paperback I did find a copy for seventy five?! Never said if it was hard back or what. But the sick thing is, it was inscribed, by the author, with " Happy Birthday " ! Now, what sort of f*ck gets given a mans book for their birthday, signed to them, then lets it go??? Maybe the person isn't due any more birthdays? Anyway, can't f*ckin wait to read it! I'll get my eye in for the 100 yard game while I'm waiting. But I can just see me reading some of that. Finding a good technique and racing out the door to have a crack! They cut the top field yesterday. I'm actively looking out for the tractor as I write. They're going to cut the bottom field and my home field too. That'll give me two excellent fields of view with safe shooting and 100 yard or closer shots guaranteed ~ if something turns up in one of them, that is! F*ck it! Even as I wrote that, I glanced up and saw something small and ginger by a hedge 250 yards away! Almost shit myself! Grabbed the bin's and had a look; Small bit of an orange cow showing through a hole in the hedge! " The Book! " Quote Link to post

Guest gdubya
Hey D. S. Try reversing the block on the E-Z PULL That may be causing the problem. I installed one on a .17 cal H&R and reversing the block really made in slick-down to @ 1.5 lbs. Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
GW; I'd have a crack at anything, mate. But, like I said above; The NEF HR seems to need a fuller pull. Maybe a Gun Smith could explain why? Damned if I can. Anyway, how'd ye mean; Reversing the block? Wouldn't any such action leave ye with an E-Z like ( against a trigger like ) ? Would it still reduce pull? Would my damn rifle still fire if I did reduce the pull by cuch an external means? Certainly hadn't done last time Quote Link to post
Guest gdubya
Turn it 180 degrees, leave the trigger in the same position Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Not long been in from a patrol around my boundries. What a differance it made to be fully prepared to actually fire without qualm! Quite made me realise my earlier recce's had, in truth, just been relaxing strolls out with a rifle for company. Tonight I put one in as soon as I got out there and bloody well meant to use it! Don't think I've ever actually loaded her before? Anyway, top of the second track and I saw eyes. Bright green. And these were lime green. Not like opals. I switched off the lamp and walked on up. Another flick and sure enough; Cat. Dark one. I couldn't see a collar. But then nor could I see it wasn't collared. Anyway, there could've been cattle behind the hedge beyond it. Weren't today, but this was tonight. Still, the shot was out of the question and I moved on up, hoping I might get a side swipe at it, but it was gone. No one within a mile or more of me keeps cats. Now I know that one's on my ground. Walked on down the road, having a look down into the fields to my left. Low and f*cking behold! Charlie crossing a gateway! I shit ye not! Large as f*ckin life. Moving right to left. Looking straight at me as much as to say, " What choo want? ". What did I want? A clear f*cking shot at the c***! He was down the slope. Nothing behind him but empty turf. Me on the road side above. I could clearly make out his shape and form. About sixty yards out. Then he was past the gap, on the wrong side of the hedge, and gone! B*stard! I got down to a kneeling position and leveled the rifle at the gap. Squeaked as best I could (Note to self: Buy a f*cking Call! I just haven't the suck anymore ) But he was having none of it. Flipped me the finger and went on his way. Probably thinking, " Stupid prick. Shining lights at me. Pointing guns. Then making that stupid noise? What's he think I am? Moter comes round that bend he'll be f*ckin road kill. Idiot. " And that, as they say, was that. I did walk on and went down Pat's trackway, hoping to cover a few of the choicest fields on my whole patch. But a flick up ahead revealed cattle. Bit closer and another flick showed the b&stards were actually on the track with me! I'd expected them to be behind the bottom gate or else in the field to the right. You ever seen the size of Pat's bull?! Straight back the way I'd came with me! Looking back? Points of note are that I saw no hares. Probably a first. Likely due to them cutting the fields now? Cats eyes are distinctly differant from cows eyes. I'll never forget how green they were, compared to the cows opaque opalescense. Best of all; I actually saw a bloody fox! And, if I can happen upon one during a more or less casual stroll up the road there? Chances are the buggers are everywhere out there! Wonder what the weather'll be like tomorrow night? Guest Frank
Ditch, on a calm dry dawn, get in position before daybreak, over looking a white, freshly cut and harvested hay feild. You will be suprised what you see. Quote Link to post
SINDASOX 256
the first fox you actually shoot should be hit between the eyes with all this preperation bet you miss him That is fecking funny.... .... .... .... ....Woodga you know how to come out with those one liners mate. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Frank; I'm only ever liable to see dawn from the end of a late night, mate. But that doesn't matter. They'll be cutting my home field and the bottom field any time now. Then, just by being here, I'll effectively be 'in position'. I'll only need pop my head out the door! Damn, and now ye've put that idea into my head, I can't wait to get that hay cut! Cheers, mate! Quote Link to post
