Wilky 0
for some time now my gaffer has tried to get rid of me, he is really trying to make my life hell, but i wont leave....not yet anyway, but i have just found out that he is filming me from two cameras hidden in fire alarm sensors on the ceiling.....is this legal and could he use any footage of this to sack me....i mean, i wont have done much wrong, just messing about like you do...... but i think its a sly trick to play on someone.......any comments? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This trick was tried at a place I worked for, they installed a camera in a P.I.R. sensor to try and get rid of lad (who wanted sacking anyway-lazy twat) who they couldn't catch up to no good, they caught him on film, but it was kicked out at a tribunal as they have to inform you that cameras are in use under "the protection of civil liberties act". As far as I can remember that's what happened. It didn't get the lad his job back, as they can't be forced to do that anymore, but he did get a fair pay off. At the end of the day if your boss wants rid of you or anyone else, all he has to do is tell you that you are sacked, you can take him to a tribunal, you will win, he will lose, you get about 15K, if you can prove you are 100% innocent, less by pro rata if you can't, and he's got what he wants, there is fcuk all security these days and the days of a job for life have long gone, unless of course you're one of the brethren, which you're not. The only way you can get an uncapped pay out at a tribunal is if you can prove one of the discrimination cases, i.e. race, disability, sex, trade union etc. or hold on for another twelve months because I've just asked my union man and he says they are lifting the cap very soon to about 50K. Hope this helps, but I'm no lawyer, have a word with the Citizens Advice Bureau, it's free and confidential.

A good trick to play would be to suddenly freeze and stay in the same position for ages, that will have whoevers watching wondering what the feck is going on and probably banging the tv monitor to see if its working properly :11: :11:

Foxgun Tom 75
Shaggy Feck It!!!!!!!!! Chuck the job and claim constructive dismissal, in your case were being victimised and picked on and put under stress when you found out you were being covertly filmed and you had no alternative but to leave your employment under duress. take the arsehole to an employment tribunal, on those grounds and when you win remember who your pals are :11: :11: :11: Tom
