I have started this thread not to spoil the other chaps thread. I dont know if this is going to be of any use to you. The only nets I have made for hares was out of Agouties purse net twine. I have used it and had no problem with it, albeit one hare I have caught with it. The net I made was a square meshed gate net. I think I made it 15 ft long by 10ft wide and it had a 5inch square mesh.

 

If you can get hold of it, Glen Walters made a video on gate nets and how to use and make them. I seen it many years ago and thought it was excellent.
