milegajo 595
After procuring a pair of excellent HW35's, I was curious to return to shooting with irons and see how the groups compared to shooting with the aid of telescopic sights.Just a fun 'shoot n see' video for the pleasure of all you fellow airgun addicts! This video is due to be released on a new YouTube Channel 'AirgunAddicts' alongside a new blog www.airgunaddicts.blogspot.co.uk. All guns featured are available to purchase, please contact me via PM. Mawders 595
Well played fellow addict. Iron sights really does bring back some golden moments of childhood learning to shoot, hitting tin cans at 10 yards! Epic. 1 Quote Link to post

Lots of found memories of plinking Cheers Bossmugler, I can see why! Phenomenal little rifles, beautiful to look at, smooth cocking action, lovely lock up and accurate (in competent hands!). Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
Il have a watch tonigght. I was thinking of going back to iron sights to see how i do compared to using a scope Quote Link to post
fry 209
i reckon iron sights were better for close range rat shooting! so much quicker for getting the shot off. 1 Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
I read in one of the comics about an old boy game keeper who kept a Diana 280 in his truck with iron sights on. He was blatting squizzers no problem with it! Quote Link to post
hunter100t 56
Target aquisition was so much quicker with open sights, I remember i used to take rabbits right out to 40+ yrds headshot with my 35, eyes were better then though, probably still could with a bit of practice ( maybe a lot of practice lol ) might give it a whirl and see if i can still hit those match sticks at 30 yrds with a beesa ! atb phil Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
my hw35 was better with open sights because the barrel shut a bit random ,so the sights on the barrel were ok .but a scope ?? Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
We all enjoy shooting, that's a given, but I must say going back to irons really put a smile on my face. Sure, the foresight obliterated the target, but I did get pretty good at judging it again and soon had those spinners going. Lots of fun! Cheers for the comments chaps, will hopefully get some more videos up soon. Quote Link to post

The karbine is my favourite only as it is just that bit more versatile. Quote Link to post
