baw 4,360
Think there is a lesson to be learned here for guys with pups. Pick your pups paws up regularly to inspect them, make them used to handling them. Even pretend to cut their nails. Save a lot of hassle later on. Your inbox is full baw If its to pluck your back again tomo, you can go f**k yourself give me 2 minutes ya pain in the arse yea 1 Quote Link to post

Got an electric file here off ebay just use it every other week keeps them short . £25 . Even if you get a vet to cut them this time they will need doing again soon . Oh and get the dog off the ground and it will put up less of a struggle imo. 2 Quote Link to post

romany52 313
I did one for a lad once, a whippet greyhound, the lad said he couldn't get near it with the clippers! He was right ! never seen anything like it, a f***ing banshee, slashing it's teeth , foaming at the mouth and squealing like a stuck pig ! Muzzled it , still couldn't hold it down, held it in the air, still couldn't restrain it. In the end we hog tied all four feet together and then had to tie the muzzled snout to it's feet before we could hold it down, but the f****r went home with short nails ! 3 Quote Link to post

ian 1 36
ive got a bitch here who when you get the nail clippers out goes off her head ,i have to get 2 mates to help hold her while you try to cut her nails . the other day i gave her a bath and while i was doing it i put the hose on her feet and kept touching her feet and for the first time she let me do it ,so i kept doing it for the next couple of days and last night i tryed without the hose on her feet and showed her the clippers and she went mad so i then put a lead on her and tied it to the side and then put the hose on her feet and played with her toes and then got the clippers out ,she didnt go mad and then let me cut her nails without to much fuss ,she would only let me cut them while the water was running over her feet ,i dont know if its will work on other dogs but its well worth trying Quote Link to post
