Hi I've got a bede x whippet and she won't let me cut her nails and they are getting out of hand how can I get them cut without causing too much stress

Muzzle mate. If it's that bad tho and you don't want do it the vets will do it my local vets only charge 7 quid atb

I think I will try the vets because I've tried a muzzle but she won't keep still and goes mad, would the vet take her nails right back?

Or you can go down to Horden football field this Saturday morning, & ask the lads that run the whippet racing if you can put your dog in the weighing harness while you cut the nails,jobs a goodun

i would just muzzle and get a mate to pick it up around the middle but if there really bad and hes not confident then without someone else with expierence to do it, the vets would be his best option

Think there is a lesson to be learned here for guys with pups. Pick your pups paws up regularly to inspect them, make them used to handling them. Even pretend to cut their nails. Save a lot of hassle later on.
