Surely they should wait a couple of weeks until the dog has got a bit more weight on it? If she's on antibiotics for the infected tail it shouldn't be a problem. I'd get a second opinion or at least ask the vet why he wants to risk GA on such an underweight dog. Just my opinion. i know my vet would`nt take the chance --- get the antibiotics in it feed it up get it fit and then do the op --- i`d be worried a dog in that condition would`nt survive the ga or have the strength to recover ... i hope it all works out Quote Link to post
