Well got a hold of this dog today took it off some lads that shouldn't have had it they were about to dump it when I arrived , what a mess its in I took it too vet he said its tail is broke so bad it

if the dog needs re homing --- dont bother with dogs trust i`ll take it on .none of this if only you were closer bollox i`ll come and fetch the dog ...

Yep horriable scum out there , oh it's only going to get better for it now , ill do everything I can to get it right

i hope you can get something done for the dog. you come across as a level headed young man and more important a genuine good person. well done young man.

Darbo - I agree with you 100% this young lad has always come across as a decent sort who is a credit to the game - this lark is full of young cretinous fuckwits who do it no favours at all - and then there's lads like this one...his enthusiasm and willingness to ask, learn and take it all in from some of the older and more knowledgeable members has been obvoios for a long time...nice lad this one...

Been there ..Done that myself.. still got the old bugger now. . .Sometimes you have to do the right thing.. nice one fella.

PS.

If all else fails with Dogs trust etc etc...Let me know.. I know an old couple who might want to adopt a Lurcher. . .It could be the happy ending.

Well done JDog: I'm sure you know, but keep the dog very warm: heat lamp, coat. The amount of stress that dog has been in and still is doesn't bear thinking of and a stressed body and mind are an open door to all sorts of disease.

Once you've got the dog a bit better, and if you can't keep it, why not contact Lurcherlink. They specialise in lurchers, unlike the Dogs Trust, though they are very good as well. The other thing, and the food aggression made me think of this, is that Lurcherlink work closely with Jim Greenwood, who is not only a top lurcherman, but a very experienced dog behaviourist too, and he helps Lurcherlink sort out any psychological problems that rescued dogs may have before they ever think about finding them a home. Just a thought.
