snakey 4
Any of you guys use this trap? If so what are your experiences? I have had a varied yet frustrating time with this trap. Use it mostly with squirrels, any tips? Quote Link to post
Firefox 4
Put some peanut butter on the roof of the trap above the foot plate then just put it where they are there is not much to it with these traps Quote Link to post

Firefox 4
Is it a proper WCS tube trap for the UK because there are several types Quote Link to post
John Keswick 119
The spring on a UK version of the wcs tube trap is more than powerful enough to kill any critter which it is approved for. The squirrels which come out of mine are almost in two peices. Quote Link to post
snakey 4
This is just another typical problem with other companies trying to copy, how are they allowed to get away with this! if we as pest controllers have to conform to the rule surley they must also? Matt 160
The tube trap is indeed a useful tool to add to the armoury. I would suggest just chucking a handful of whole maize through it for squirrels in forestry. Don't be fooled into thinking that this is the same as the WCS tube trap available in the US - it isn't. The UK version has a stronger spring and an extra killing bar. The one that is approved for use in the UK is only available from Magnum traps and their distributors. I understand that Duke bodygrippers are going through the approval process, and have been for some time. Until they are through, you have the choice of BMI bodygrippers from Magnum, or the Victor 120 which Pro-Trapper used to import. Quote Link to post
heritage 202
Matt, I was also made aware of duke traps being submitted for approval a few months ago & as far as I'm aware they failed miserably. Quote Link to post
