Outlaw Pete 2,224
This really appears to be the general consensus here. Vote back a straight majority conservative government and all will be rosy in the garden once more. Ask yourself: 1/ How many Tory MP's do I know who used to go out lamping, 'pre ban'? 2/ How many Tory MP's do I know who ran deer with lurchers / long dogs? 3/ How many Tory MP's do I know who liked digging to terriers? 4/ Who was in government, in '73, when we lost Badgers? 5/ Did Eighteen Years of Tory Govt. post '73, ever lift a finger to give us back badgers? Discuss .....
lanesra 3,961
I Personally Don't Believe Any Off Them Will Overturn The Ban . . I So Hope Im Wrong But Thats My Belief !
smithie 2,443
i dont own a dog so it does not directly affect me, although i do shoot and net the odd hare (both legal ). but it does not mater whos in the big chair as they never give its always take, take and take some more. the right to run a hare has been taken as is and terrier work on badger's. the takeing has been done and there to be no giving you can be sure of that. they get your vote if they promise to let your dogs work but lose the vote of the tree huggers so there no better off, possibly worse. im sure most dog men will just do as they wish all the same

AirgunGuy 362
Personally i don't think it will be lifted any time soon as its way down the list of priorities...and they won't be in government long enough for them to pass a new bill

Tiercel 6,986
If they wanted to repeal the hunting act, they would do so with a threeline whip. Where any tory MP has to vote for the repeal. All they stated before the election was they would allow a free vote without the whip. Go Figure. TC
