there was a swallow in the bedroom this morning, but that's a different story. Bet it'll be months before I see another one here!

Will be hard for them and the martins swifts etc,come over from Africa tired and hungry,and when they get here it's freezing cold with no insect hatched out,yet.

My swallows came back today, i call them mine because i let them use the garage and have cut a hole in the sliding door for them to fly in and out and SHIT all over my tools in the shed,,,, jesus the

started finding a few wrens nests but nothing in them yet and ive also found a longtails being built,a lad i know who goes rambling in the lakes found a gooseanders nest with eggs in :thumbs:

I'm often in and amongst the Lakes and although ain't found any Gooseanders nests I've seen loads of birds..never seen so many lol

first cuckoo today..

same date and place as last year...

i cant remember the last time ive seen or heard a cuckoo it must be a few years now :thumbs:

 

was it when you flew over the nest.......... :D

Used to see a lot of cuckoos up Grange near Scawdel and castle cragg
