jigsaw 11,863
My Jill has just had 4 young uns yesterday,a late litter.I had 2 litters this season and none survived, both jills ate the lot.I had 1 litter to 5 weeks and eaten. The 2 jills I bred were last years breeding.Cant explain what happened with them as they are seperated from the kennels, quiet area and all were well fed and tended for.Its my 1st time in 20 years loosing a litter, but to loose 2.....cant understand it.So hopefully this lot will make it.The jill I bred from is called the rat as she is quiet small but a very good worker.Shes 4 yrs old now and this will be her 1st litter if she rears them.I've had more rabbits from this jill than any of the rest in the yard.I keep 3 jills and a hob and thats enough to see me through the season, anymore than that and they dont get enough work to see how well they do. Heres the jill in question. Quote Link to post
