Blackbriar 8,569
She has actually claimed that the kerb was poorly lit and the garage owner "failed to point it out to her". Failed to point out the kerb that runs alongside the road........erm. On a serious note, though, I can't decide who's worse - the copper for thinking that any sane person would support her, or the parasite solicitor who took it seriously and thought to himself " £££££ ". Probably also worth pointing out that she does not have the support of her employers( or presumably her colleagues ! )

LaraCroft 863
It's so sad :-( like emergency workers don't have enough to contend with without people like this dragging us down. It just makes us look like money grabbing muppets - and the vast majority of us are nice people. I've had an annoyed patients relative follow me to my car when I finished my shift at 0200 - he hit me and broke my nose - I didn't sue him - sheesh, he had a daughter who was so close to dying it wasn't true - nobody can explain their actions in such circumstances - and to sue for tripping over a ferkin curb is just a joke - and makes us look bad. No, there is no excuse, at the end of the day he needed to take out his anger on something, and it was me - and it was wrong, but the circumstance he was in was so terrible it was what happened. I wouldn't have dreamt of taking him to court - let alone tripping over something and hurting my wrist. It's just wrong.

Whatever they pay you, it's not enough

There is no excuse for hitting a woman and no excuse for hitting anyone in those circumstances. A medical professional going about their job and they get punched and left with a broken nose, it just doesn't sit right with me. He'd have some serious problems with his own health if you were my wife / girlfriend
Brewman 1,192
Where was her torch? Basic bit of health and safety equipment. Sounds like she didn't take enough precautions herself. If it was dark why did she go there. Sure as fcuk if I couldn't see in the dark I wouldn't go chasing somebody. Good way to get a hiding.
spade 224
I hope she gets told to f**k right off but in this mad compo world you never know. Apparently she is getting backed by the police federation (union). If, god forbid, she wins it could open a right old can of worms. As far as I'm concerned she should be sacked for bringing the force into disrepute.
