jandcguns 65
Hi guys, I'm after a super accurate 177 hollow point that weighs about 8.0 - 8.4 grains just to try this extra nock down sh*t although everything I shoot drops stone dead heart or head shot anyway just want to try the any advice will be appreciated Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
I like the RWS super hollow points, but only out to 20yrds, over that and they tumble. On rats you get a very nice 'THWACK' . On everything else i use AA Field Diablos. I'm putting them in an AAS410 in 22. Quote Link to post
bsmith08 1
agreed with pledgey there RWS superhollow points perfect short range! Quote Link to post
BenjaminCadd 109
Bisley Hollow Point Pest Control are a good pellet. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
All hollow points are shit.. inherently innacurate. Same with pointed heads Stick wth a good round head mate,, it`s all about shot placement. 1 Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
As above, genuinely won't be as good as a dome. I made the mistake of believing the sales patter of a gunsmith who might as well have been John Wayne who lied out his arse about hollow points! 1 Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
As above, stick with the right dome head for your rifle and you won't go far wrong. If over penetration's an issue then try a decent flat head. RWS Hobby or Bisley practice are a good start and will hold better accuracy at longer range if needed. Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
Yay ! I was right and everybody thinks I`m magic !! 1 Quote Link to post
PLEDGEY 496
All hollow points are shit.. inherently innacurate. Same with pointed heads Stick wth a good round head mate,, it`s all about shot placement. I used to say the same but the RWS hollows hit very hard. I shot a rat , about 9'' long from head to arse, from 12 yrds. An AA field would have gone through and might have given me a runner, the RWS just drops them dead, and that's aiming for the heart area not head shot. Past 25yrds and they suck ass, but for short distance rats i like 'um. As for points, never touch the things. Quote Link to post
hunter100t 56
If every thing you shoot drops dead with round heads, then you have achieved your goal. why bother changing the recipe, but if you want a bit more thwack, try some match flat heads. atb phil 2 Quote Link to post
-Lupo- 4
The best hollow point i ever shot was the H&N Crow Magnum. Available in .177 and .22 also. Even .25! In 177. we got really nice groups of an 18mm at 35 Meters with 7,5 Joule. But these are heavy pellets, so no problem in your guys strong rifles Quote Link to post
