there are still plenty of nice sized bitches and dogs out there. i have seen some real beuteys in the last couple of years.heres a few pics of mine.

George,a decent plummer or russell would suit you fine so long as its off decent workers with a brain, mine are capable of doing most things and make good all round dogs,a lot of terriers are limited b

if you dont plan to dig over it-get a plummer it will suit your needs better-you buy a patt and you will be digging it -atb

George,Browner normally breeds his bitch to known workers and they are registered, you will not go far wrong by pm ing him,I have bred 2 litters off their lineage and would not hesitate to recomend a pup from either of his bitches,he hunts with a decent set of lads and their pack is well cared for, atb,WM

I have heard they are getting oversized. But if I'm not digging will that be a issue?

Thanks for the pictures mate. loverly Plummer you have.

even if the terriers are working above ground only they should still be bred to there original standard set out for them.

wuyang, my cockers are used for picking up and are very good at there job. a few times when we have lost light hit runners that even the labs and springers cant find i get asked to try my oldest plummer brambel. so far she has found every one she has even gone to ground and fetched a few from earths. as for rabbits. if i want to panic rabbits into bolting i use the cockers. if i want to catch um i use my plummers.

From my exp if a dogs of working stock and given the oppertunity 99% of the time they will do the job at hand. The main thing is giving them plenty of work as you can get the best bred dog in the world but if its stuck in a kennel most of time its not going to learn much.Ive had borders, patts, russels, lakeys and Xs of the for mentioned and they have all done the job at hand, some better than others.Best dog i ever owned was a larl border.
