Shotgun License - North Wales

I applied for my shotgun license late December and waited 8 weeks before I got my home visit.

 

At the end of the interview, I asked the officer how long it would take to come through if I where successful and was told 2-4 weeks.

 

Well it's now been 5 weeks and I've heard nothing at all since he left. Just a couple of questions..

 

1) If successful in my application, will it be delivered personally by the officer? or in the post?

 

2) Is it worth me chasing it up? or should I just keep waiting?

 

If anyone in the N.wales area has had a license granted recently, could you let me kow how your application played out.

I had mine with Gwent Police, FEO told me should be with you in 2-3 weeks after he visited me, took 5 weeks in the end to be delivered in the post. I did call and just got told its a huge "backlog" and it will just take time, but before he left he said he has no reason to not grant me a shotgun certificate so i had no worries, its just the wait that killed me! Try be extra patent and it should be with you very shortly, possibly next week after this easter bank holday, good luck!
