Whould You Advise Goin Afternoon Ferreting?

Only think id be worried about is a ferret killing in or just not coming out the hole. Don't want the dark to catch up with you.

I pop out for a few hours with the ferret and dogs if i cant get out during the day. Just stick to small warrens. Atb

Aye i would give it a go , sat in the car a few times while it hissed down and went out for the afternoon when it cleared up or slowed down a bit made a few tidy bags

Yeah i'd go in the afternoon...next season!!!!

 

Too may young about now, so you have more chance of losing that ferret. If you really have to go, then stick to shallow places.

I do it often in the ferreting season, seen me picking up three or four, probably not worth it for some, but suits me fine.

Just take a single Jill, and some purse nets, and one of cumbrianratchers small baskets, holds four 5 yarder stop nets, light as a feather.

Morning is better ferrets are active they tend to sleep more on an afternoon.

nice frosty morning are the best for finding rabbits aground. but in the afternoon scents always better.

ye i go out often in the mornin but just wonderin if afternoon was amy point at lookin at, when the season starts back up il have to give it a go cheers for the help folks

I go in the afternoon a lot during the season, I'm not a morning person after a dozen pints Friday night!!!
