Saluki X Shot 17 Times With Air Rifle In Wigan On Tuesday

I found an 12 month old injured Saluki x on Tuesday in the Standish area of Wigan, it turns out it has been shot 17 times with an air rifle, shattering his femur and puncturing a lung. All the shots where at his back end so this wasn't done to kill, this was done for fun.

That is just terrible. Thank goodness you stumbled across him and took him in, and the rescue stepped up to cover his medical fees. I hope that poor baby fully recovers and is never treated wrong again. Such cowards in our world, to do something malicious like that to an undeserving animal.

if it is a air rifle then its a sick state of affairs, i once caught a cat with my lurcher and managed to get it off the dog and return it to owner well when he took it to the vets and had it x rayed it had 7 air rifle pellets in it and the x ray didnt look like that you could tell they were air rifle pellets. this to me looks like shotgun pellets a light bird load aswell

Buckshot,no doubt about it.Probably blasted by a farmer.
