wife 1
back out on the boat and not a bad trip, doggies were jumping on the hooks no matter how big the bait, within 10 seconds of the bait hitting bottom there was a doggie on,after 30 mins of this we moved spots to get away from them,we also tried feathers over towards minehead to see if the mackerel are running any better than the last 2 weeks and things are still quiet,we managed a few small pollack and only a few mackeral,on deep water mark we had a good run of bullhuss coming on the boat with the biggest at just over 10lb,also one smoothy showed, only small strap congers and no rays beside the sun rays,a good trip with everyone on the boat catching fish,a few photos Quote Link to post

tiny tim 22
i was out yesterday but had too cut the trip short ..it was starting to blow a bit as we launched and it gradually got worse ....white horses everywhere...so we decided to throw the towel in.....good job as it turned out ....the tide was racing in ...blackpoool is a devil of a place for the fast in coming tide.....as we got the trailer one of the rollers fell off.....couldnt get the boat on and the surf was swamping the boat on every wave...getting deeper by the second.....we managed in the end to just secure the boat to the trailer and raced back across the sand .....try again in a few weeks after some running repairs ....the fishing has been good just lately witrh plenty of tope and bull huss.....looks like you had a good day Quote Link to post
