Guest chilli Posted August 16, 2005 Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 Well the pup is a year old on the 29th of august an this past week ive started him lampin so far so good he hasnt blanked !! he got his first proper rabbit on friday nite a short run afther a rabbit in cover an bang he was of the mark ! well pleased i no this dog is a real speed merchant but i had yet to see him him use his pace in anger well tonite i did ! we walked down a hill into a field an i scanned it quickly i caught a glimpse of a rabbit sprinting for its life an the pup was behind it a good 40 yards of then in wat seemed like a split second he dug in an was on this rabbit an nailing it ! was well happy my other dog trys her heart out if i could fault her it would be speed ! something this fella aint gonna lack ! were she lacks speed she makes up in other departments specialy her nose which is devolping into a real finder ! tonite she shot into a load of thistle running parralel to a rive next thing there was a splash i thought thats strange thats a few feet down wats she up to ?? well seconds later a fallow comes jumpin up out of the river scarein f**k out of me an starts makein the short dash for the woods the bitch came out of the river a few seconds afther an by now the pup was motoring towards the deer but alas i had to call them off ! no way i was lettin them get in this wood afther dark its were some of you may remember the bitch injuried herself at the start of the year so f**k that place at nite !! big f****r it was though so it was proberbly best left alone i was a good walk from the motor an wouldnt have been able to cary it alone !!!! all in all i am happy more experiance for the dogs carnt be bad Quote Link to post
