i always give name /address,as if they think your being clever they can soon stop and delay you,and generally mess you around.

if your honest with them you get treated better,as your only walking your wifes/rescue pet lurcher as she dont like going out in the early morning/dark evenings due to dodgy looking men that maybe around.

you wont have a problem.

I couldn't handle getting stopped all the time. I'd keep walking as it not against the law to walk a dog.

its just you hear in some places if your seen out in the countryside with a lurcher

you get harassed .. 10 cop cars and an eye in the sky

well good to see tax payers money going on that stuff then init...over a rabbit , hare ,fox or deer lol regardless of law, its pathetic...choppers cost loads to run and all over let's say a deer. Which apparently are becoming a pest an a cull is in order.

Why do you think it was because you had a lurcher?? You might of been stopped as you looked suspect (with all due respect) or maybe there had been something going on locally, or are you known to them? Or maybe they were just bored.

if that was all he was doing ,did he put in a complaint? I would of. I know quite a lot of coppers, all of which are fair, and really tidy. But then there's some who are itching to arrest you. Best thing to do, is wind them up..to a point. They love it, they can't arrest you for walking a dog like I said. And without video evidence its their word against yours really ain't it, an probably end up falling through to lack of evidence.
