I spoiled meself at the recent shooting show, and bought a pair of all leather hunter wellies. Best boots I've ever owned,, but I only got them cos the geezer was selling them at nearly half price. Previously had a pair of 40 quid neoprene lined ones that lasted a couple of years. They were very good but split on the toe from where I take a lot of kneeling shots.

Interesting reading, I just bought a pair of agile parcours vario 2, took a lot of soul searching to spend a hundred quid on Welles that are not neo lined (wanted a pair of le chameau) be interesting to see how they last and more importantly how warm they are.

If you cna part with the cash Agile are bloody brilliant.

I used to have an insulated pair, but now I have the non insulated so that they'r enot too hot in the summer.

If you want a less pricey pair, maybe get some Hunters.

Sorry, I meant Aigle, not 'agile' haha

bought a pair of Wyre Valley neoprene lined boots for beating and they've done me proud, only £40, the neoprene on the top stops higher up so with a pair of chaps they don't rip if going through brambles. Wore them when the temp was freezing and the snow was on the ground and in conjunction with a pair of welly liners kept my feet toasty while others were complaining of the cold. The sole has lasted well and still has plenty of grip left and no leaks in the uppers even after trudging through chest high brambles, blackthorn and climbing over barbed wire. Have outlasted some more expensive boots worn by beaters and guns but don't have the in with the upwardly mobile crowd of the brand names.
