Groverdog 0
Sorry to put up a non hunting related item. The horsey sites are feckin snobby and i need to be honest about him - and me! 15hh to make 16hh 2 yo chestnut gelding. Very cheap to the right home or permanent loan. Due to partner working away and a broken rib (my fault not his) i have lost the nerve with my homebred younster. He is out of my welshxarab mare by a thoroubred stallion. He needs alot of work but is very friendly and quite useful - he even chases rabbits . Thought maybe as fieldsports and horses generally go together one of the lads wives or someone anyone knows might like a challenge. If a loan agreement made i would never take him away if whoever has him is happy and hes being well looked after. Nothing would make me happier than to hear of his first days hunting or eventing. And before any comments about dog food its been thought after one too many stands on my foot

Groverdog 0
Thanks guys - he deserves a better home than me even tried that Horse whispering lark with him but i managed to cock that up and get a broken rib into the bargain. Whoever gets him will have a lot of hard work to do to catch him up in his education but ive no worries that he would be a star in the right hands.
FastDogz 155
Had horses/ponys from been kneehigh to a grasshopper. He sure is a looker...what probs has he got? Or is it just lack of schooling? Has he seen traffic? What he like to be led out? Does he live in or out or both? Whats he like to catch? and with farrier ect? If he is standing at 15hh and only a 2yr old is there any possiblity he could make over 16hh? My friends cob is rising 5 and still growing at 15.2hh dispite his dam been only 13.1hh Hes a grand looking youngster and once he looses all that wooly fur hes gunna be a good un in the right hands by the sounds of it Sorry for all the questions but i know someone who loves bringing on a challange and is experainced but at the moment nothing to work with and she has a spare stable Let us know as much as you can about him please.Cheers
Groverdog 0
Hi Fastdogz. The only real probs hes got is me! When he was born my partner wasnt working away and i had plenty of help from him. Its just a lack of schooling. I have to trim his feet as no farrier will come out to me (too remote) and he still a bit wobbly with that. Traffic? Well we are 6 miles from a real road but will greet tractors and my Disco in the field no bother. He comes to call galloping down field and will whinny in greeting always. Both my horses are immune to shotgun and rifle fire dont pay any attention as they have been ferreted around them. He leads ok but knows his strength and that he can oull away from me. He dosent kick but will put on the odd rear. Only been away from his Mum twice (once for weaning and once when i took him to a Natural Horsemanship clinic). I dont believe in rugs (although he will accept one) and except for really bad weather both of them live out but he stables quite happily. I have put one leg over him and he wasnt bothered at all. I like my 14.2hh jumping ponies and hes too good for me and needs a far more experienced person. His sire (Passing Point) was 16.3hh so yep its possible seems to be growing by the minute! Sorry to yap on but he is my pride and joy and he deserves to get a home that will work him to his full ability. I would like to find a home for him asap before his education gets too far behind. Groverdog 0
Hi Mrs Coyote your lad is gorgeous. My god he is very like your friends boy. Thanks for your interest and help. Gunner has been tetanus vaccinated but not flu. I havent done his passport - not an valid excuse to most but have waited as that white mark on his belly is not shown on his vac cert and i wanted it to go on his passport but his winter coat didnt show it. I will get his passport done though before he goes. As for money i pm'd someone to say 700 ish but to be honest i would be open to an offer lower to the right home. And as for a permanent loan home i truly mean that it would be permanent (with no interference from me except i would like to be updated once ina while) and possibly just once see him in action at a show or following hounds) as long as his new owner is happy and he is fine then i never would want him back. Of course he couldnt be sold on tho and a proper agreement would have to get drawn up. He isnt regiusterde unfortunately. I am up in Aberdeenshire so it mite be a problem for someone coming to get him (he travels well tho) His Sire was grey and his Mom is a strawberry roan so i guess he could go greyer but i am no expert. There i go again waffle waffle waffle sorry!!!!
Meerihunter 7
If you are in Scotland try this site. www.ScotEquest.com You have to pay, I think it is £7.50 for two months but there seems to be a good turnover.
