mine took

4 week from pen to aplication to certificate on my door mat! cumbria police are pretty efficeint!

That's quick,I just got email back from them saying they have got my application but it could take upto 12 weeks

Sent application in September 2012, money came out my account a week later.......... Got the licence through in February 2013.

 

That was in Kent though.

 

If I was a cynical man I might make the assumption that its not the sort of process that is done with any haste so that people dont bother trying.......

Well got the call today from feo,she is in my area tomorrow for a 9.30am appiontment, said she will see me first about 8.45/9.00am,great. Gun cabinant and safe already installed. I thought it would be a longer interview

I had my cabinet & safe installed before the inspection, the fao inspected it as part of the interview. Took 4 weeks from posting application, getting the interview and then receiving licences through the post. what happens if the licence comes through and you dont have your safe? you cant go out and buy your guns until the safe arrives then..

Had my interview friday she checked the cabinet and safe all fine ,should hear something about middle of may . That would make it about 7/8 weeks from sending to receiving
