brock 11
what lamps do you boys prefer to use, and do you use filters. myself,i always use the blitze with a red filter even when rabbiting. For hares and deer i think the blitze is untouchable.i also find that when out lamping with mates that are using the smaller version the blitze will pick up a distant fox that is creeping along the end of the field. runsatnite 7
LIGHT FORCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with a red filter Quote Link to post
Guest CharlieC
I prefer the lightforce ones, but have always used a lazerlite cos they are made for big girls blouses like me :11: :11: I like the round-the-tummy battery pack, the small lightweight size and the low power beam for calling foxes in. Its small and neat and doesnt make me fall all over the place in the dark like I used to with my first lamping kit (wired together car headlight and car battery job - ouch!) :11: Quote Link to post
Guest nastybilly
lightforce for the strong beam but they feck up a bit in the wirers pullin loose department Quote Link to post
johnny4 0
nastybilly looks like you have the same problem as me the wireing on the lightforce or terrible so ive had to fully strip mine down and do all wires again :11: johnny Quote Link to post

Guest A Sick Old Man
Lightforce 170, with red filter and 14 amp battery. It has modded filter and resistor on battery to dim light down, I have had no problems with it as yet. I use a 14 amp battery with shoulder strap and a thick belt, as I am a shandy drinking Southern girl and just can not take the weight. Quote Link to post

salclalin 240
I use a LAZERLITE myself, gave up on the filters when my old bitch started running rabbits while the filter was on. Anyone else had that happen??. Quote Link to post
Stabs 3
Lazerlite, but before you even go out with it, strip the wiring down and rebuild it yourself. Nothing worse than losing a connection due to shitty wiring in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black. Quote Link to post
Guest reload
I too use a Lazerlight, after last years ups and downs in the field a rewire was essential. Got it wired direct to the battery no cigar plug bits or owt. Lamping with one hand holding the wires together and the other holding the lamp is a serious wind up :realmad: Quote Link to post
Guest Corkonian
Lazerlite for me as well - have the same one for years. Got the hinged filter - those clip on ones for other lamps are a waste of time - too awkward and easy to lose/break. I use a motor bike battery as well in one of those rubberized resi' bags - endless power So simple - give it a blast of the charger when I get home and can be off out for a few hours no problems. Only major problem in over 7 years with this setup is the handles keep braking off the lamp :realmad: I replaced the reflector last season too and managed to rewire it wrong which caused the coiled lead to heat up and go sticky Have some normal electrical cable on it now - should have just bought a new one.
