My New 77

i bought a hw77 last night .some of you might have read my other pcp thread well the missis said i should just buy the gun so we went too get it last night , when the guy opened up the gun bag i was disappointed to say the least surface rust on the barrel the cocking arm and the cylinder , but once it was out the bag i realised it was a full length 77 which i was really after so that was a plus point , i took some tools to have a look under the stock once i got it apart it was obvious t hadnt been messed with but it has a broken spring at rear guide , on the phone the seller had said he had bought the gun new 2 years ago well the serial no said its a 1993 gun with the 25mm piston another pluss point im my book , after a bit of haggling which was mostly me taking the piss i got it for £110,

 

here she is after a bloody good clean up

as you can see she cleaned up well , another thread i posted up last night was a question about a hw80 v-mach kit fitting into a hw77 , im pleased to say the spring, piston liner and bottom guide fitted strait in with one metal washer in the piston .after a 20 or so pellets threw the barrel she settled down nicely and is putting out 11.8fb , i might remove the washer to drop the power a bit but at 25 yards sitting she did this with 10 pellets

to put it bluntly im happier than a fat kid with the keys to a cake shop i can believe the consistency or the accuracy .

 

future plans are a set back trigger and mabie a 97kt stock if i find one at the [BANNED TEXT] price .

the scope pictured on the gun was one of my spares ,the thing ( best way to describe the scope )that was on it was a piece of poop , will be looking to get a nice £100 scope for it when funds allow

I've always sung this rifle's praises. Now you can see why. You got an absolute bargain here for £110 webster. Enjoy it mate and keep her in fine fettle and you'll be amazed what this rifle can do!

any hints on good fixed parallax scope been looking at a jape made hawke frontier
