Guest Magwitch
i brought a box of Magtech subs on Saturday to test, they seem to be very quiet and cycled rather good, but the groupings weren't has tight has the Eleys . The Magtechs are £35 a 1000 and the Eleys £60 a 1000. The target was 50 yards and the conditions were quite windy here are the results. Would like to see if anyone else has carried out any rimfire ammo tests and what were the results. Quote Link to post
Bounder 0
I was out sighting and trying different types of ammo earlier this evening, I tried: Winchester Super-X HV HP. Winchester Super-X Subsonic HP Lapua Super club Subsonic Remington Yellow Jacket Hypervelocity (worst group) and some Old Eley Scorpion HV that was hanging around I will post up pics tomorrow, The subs grouped the best and followed by the super-X HV I have also got some Rem. Cyclone and CCI minimag to test, I just ran out of daylight. Quote Link to post
Guest Magwitch
Next weekend i will do Winchesters Vs Eleys subs, this should be interesting as both are regarded as very good ammunition. Quote Link to post
Guest baldie
Have you tried the remington subs, Magwitch? they have virtually no lubricant, and have a short well rounded hollowpointed bullet, which cycles very well in a 10/22, they are reasonably accurate, and around the same price as the magtech, i quite like them. [/quote hi bounder, ive been trying aquila super x subs, realy tight groups at 50 yds, tried them in the field they were great, a rabbit clean kill at 83 yds. also went back to my favourite winchester super x subs {i think that they are harder hitting}, hit a rabbit at 125 yds clean kill through shoulder. regards, tommy Quote Link to post
