blackgreyhound 206 Posted March 25, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 25, 2013 northernlite.i have owned and tested so many different crosses over the years i have lost count all i do know is that there is a lot of wastage in lurcher to lurcher crosses due to the fact of blood degeneration .lack of stamina coat to thin lack of decent bone brains etc .in any breed of dog you will get one or two winners most will just be average .in greyhounds not many westmead hawks or scurlouge champs come along .it is the same with lurchers only one or two will be exceptional .she may be able to keep it up she may break down its hard to say 1 Quote Link to post

sighthound.1 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Report Share Posted March 25, 2013 blackgreyhound gsd x g is a good all rounder as you know i have kept these xs years ago. there brain power is fantastic but with todays laws on what we can hunt gsd x is in my opion a shame not to let this fine x hunt what ever you want it to hunt. how ever gsd x that i kept did struggle on turning when at top speed. i keep whippets now and pleased i do because. there is not enough quarry where we live plus the land i use would only suit small lurcher or whippet. i have two whippet pups and they have enough stamina for the land i use. when my whippet pups are older. and trained they will stay all night and i will be able to work them three times a week they are suitable for me and land i use. bobby blackheart 1,209 Posted March 25, 2013 Report Share Posted March 25, 2013 my mate had a white gsd/saluki/grey bitch and put a merlin and eve bred dog over her-3 pups-1 white feathered,2 red feathered dogs-have to say they were some of the best looking running dogs ive ever seen-lad had them for 9m couldnt sell them because the dam was gsd color in the end he gave them away and they were sold on for a fair price-i wonder if the day walkers that have them now really know the true breeding?or would of payed what they did?suppose they will know when they throw the odd sable coloured pup i like the gsd x and if i had the room i would run 1 atb 2 Quote Link to post
