walshie 2,804
I've read the many threads about which moderator people think is best, but I'm still none the wiser which one to get for my Tikka T3 in .223. I've narrowed it down to a Reflex T8, Wildcat P8 or DM80. I've tried a couple on the end of my rifle and they all feel really heavy. I'm sure they all sound about the same, but which is likely to last the longest? Cheers. Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
Moderators, as rifles and scopes etc etc get personal, everyone has an opinion, and it will usually come down to what they have! I run P8 COMPACTS (smaller and lighter but moderation is just as good, particularly on a .223) on all my centrefires. The P8 also offers a big selection of calibre specific baffle sets for maximum performance, Predator 8 Calibre Inserts Now Available -.17, 22, 243, 25, 27, 30 , 338, 375, 44. Others made to order. It is easy to strip and clean, all parts are available as spares, should you want to change calibre/rifle it's easy, you don't need to throw it away and start again. Price is at the lower end of CF mods and weight is ok. Moderation is good! So, that leads me to be happy with my P8 cf mods, no doubt others are happy with whatever choice of mod they use! Edit By way of which will last longest, it is very unlikely to be the T8, my money would be on the P8, but a well looked after DM should last well! Edited March 25, 2013 by Deker 1 Quote Link to post
