03milesR 6
I'm looking to find a inexpensive way of getting myself some lofting poles. Everywhere I look i find different suggestions and prices. I've just found (on ebay) some drain rods that extend to 7m +. Reckon they'd work for sticking a few decoys in the trees? Quote Link to post
The one 8,457
My hide poles come together with a wee bit of pipe tapered to allow them to be built up together might be easier getting something like that made rather than lugging draining poles Quote Link to post
GameDealer7412 2
For what it is worth lofting poles are not expensive as they work well and they are designed for the job. 1 Quote Link to post
Ratsmasher 36
drain poles would be too bendy I've tryed to get birds out of trees that have got stuck as they fell before and it doesn't work. Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
The beauty of these is, that if your drain gets blocked ..... I once used car aerials to make coat hangers out of Quote Link to post
03milesR 6
Hahaha so maybe not use these then.. Quote Link to post
albert64 1,882
have you tried an old fishing pole, just dont use the last few sections as they might be to whippy Quote Link to post
cave dweller 2
I've tried it with the rods from an old tent, the good bit is all the bits are held together with elastic, and you can lose any of it, the bad bit was it;s a bit wobbly and you have to be a good aim! Quote Link to post
lazybones1416 0
I bought 3 washing poles that extented cut the hooks and one end has a point to put decoy on they cost 3.75 each and join together out in the field working quite well and not to heavy might get one more for a bit more higher up decoy good luck.
