well lads do use change your dogs food when season over by that i mean a lesser intake on protein red meats as there not doing as much work like to here your views i prefer a bit of tripe this time of year rather than beef

Mine get the same food, but a little less. They are out for a good 2-3 hours a day, very active, just not working so hard with runs.

Change the red mill bag from red to blue and cut down on the beef and pasta.

When they are grafting hard through the winter I feed high protein completes - with meat, fish, pasta, and veg. Throughout the summer I feed less protein as they are on holiday so to speak - not into showing or lure racing so mines don't have to be fit through the summer..rest and recuperation for a few months. I don't think you can keep a dog properly fit all year round - like athletes they need to be 'let down' to repair...seems to work for me...

yeah boarderscot i like to leave them about 2 mth with a wee bit of free running here and there then when it hit june jul aug its behind the van for 4 mile then up to 8 by aug with the high protein food again
