Guest ilderfryd
Thank you. The angoras cost about 150 pounds. I guess. Same does the shorthairs, but their is not many angoras in Denmark and not many who gets angora kids. And of course you can ask. I had discovered that UK people does not like angoras of some reason, but it is okay. As long as you don´t call him yukki. Some people did when a friend of mine shown his angora ferret at www.ferretsforum.co.uk/forum and I was in kind of shock. Ambrosius have been kind of ehm.. big, but I think I have it under control now. He only weights 1600 gram now. Quote Link to post

flash42 0
the reason angoras are disliked by peopleis because they were created through inbreeding, i personally dont see whypeople make such a big fuss when a majority of pedigree dogs are inbred to a degree which cause there inherited illnesses such as with labs and there hips. personally i would love an angora ferret, but struggle tofind them in england. Guest ilderfryd
How nice that you like angora ferrets. I can write you if I ever should get one. Yes to the inbreed, but that is so long ago. There have been breed so many angora ever since, so there will be hardly no inbreed in them anymore. Quote Link to post
Hob&Jill 258
the reason angoras are disliked by peopleis because they were created through inbreeding, i personally dont see whypeople make such a big fuss when a majority of pedigree dogs are inbred to a degree which cause there inherited illnesses such as with labs and there hips.personally i would love an angora ferret, but struggle tofind them in england. Feck all to do with the fact that there inbred, more to do with people turning ferrets into handbag accessorys I think I will stick to standard ferrets that can work Got nothing against people keeping ferrets as pets, they make good pets, but why do people need hairy ferrets? Theres no need but ponsy show folk seem to like fecking things up They cant just leave them as they should be, they seem to feck about changing what they look like so they meet there requirments. Bulldogs, Staffs, GSD's, more breeds than I care to say, hopefully ferrets wont go down the same path! Added to the point that ferrets are common sufferers from heat, adding more fur to them is hardly going to benefit them, is it? All the best, H&J :clapping: Edited July 31, 2007 by Hob&Jill Quote Link to post
flash42 0
have u ever worked a angora ferret, or seen one. if not then on that fact, how the hell can u make a statment like 'I think I will stick to standard ferrets that can work Got nothing against people keeping ferrets as pets, they make good pets, but why do people need hairy ferrets? ' and thats a very biased opinion towards the shooting community, your basically saying that dogs are working animals, and not pets. also are you against field trials as that is a form of showing? cheers flash Quote Link to post
