an afternoons pigeon flight lining was the plan, as we walked up to the cut the springer flushed a mallard off a small drainage ditch, later came the flush of pheasants followed by a pair of mallards winging there way over and some hares on the far side of the field, the anticipation for the next season and the variety of game on this small rough shoot was mouth watering,as for the flight of pigeon, cut short as the breach on my sons O/U was creaping open after firering, expensive? he'll soon find out when he visits the gunsmith on Monday.
